Inspired Design: Three Projects, One Award-Winning Pattern

Inspiration can spark at any time, and you need to pay attention when it does. When Architect and Elsy Associate Sarah Zales had an idea while traveling mid-flight, she immediately began sketching.

Little did she know, that spark of inspiration, which was originally intended as a ceiling design solution, would turn into a design carried throughout multiple projects in the coming year. From a large-scale custom millwork art piece installed on a ceiling to a unique vessel for a floral arrangement and finally as a custom pattern for an award-winning haute couture dress, the design proved to be not only versatile, but also memorable in each context. Elsy’s Work on New Quiznos Grill Concept Gets a Shout Out

The June 2016 issue of Visual Merchandising and Store Design (VMSD) magazine features a two-page spread on the new Quiznos Grill flagship location.

The design for the fast-casual concept was completed in collaboration with Quiznos’ national branding agency, Tesser, and very talented team members Carmen Schechinger and Sarah Zales. (more…)
