Juliana began with Elsy as an interior designer. She now applies her unique background in art and design – not to mention a high level of technical skill – to her role as a project manager.

Here’s a little more about Juliana:

Background: After previously working with Lynn at Box Studios, Juliana jumped at the chance to expand her career with Lynn when Lynn started Elsy Studios in 2012.

“I believed in Lynn and thought we would really take off – and we have!”

Favorite Design Feature: Juliana recently worked on a project where they designed a big conference room surrounded by movable glass walls in the middle of a space. So it was a striking design, but they had to figure out how to mitigate sound.

Juliana’s solution was to use acoustic ceiling panels wrapped in wood-look vinyl wallcovering. Not only did this solve the sound issue, but the cost was lower than real wood and, as an aesthetic feature, it really warmed up the space.

Juliana believes this is a perfect example of Elsy’s focus on good design – creating spaces that are both practical and beautiful.

Volunteerism: Juliana serves on the planning committee for Women Cook, an event hosted by Work Options for Women. This annual fundraiser features demonstrations by prominent female chefs in Denver along with live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event support the WOW mission to help impoverished women gain the skills and confidence they need to work their way out of poverty, and become gainfully and permanently employed in the food service industry.
